Vacation in Chiang Mai

I finally returned from our vacation in North Thailand. We spend the first day 10 hours driving to Chiang Rai which is north east of Chiang Mai. We spend the rest of the evening and night in the hotel. After two nights we left again for Chiang Mai where we met an old friend of Mae. I don't want to describe every single day of our vacation. So here are some pictures of me and what we did. By the way, Chiang Mai is GREAT. I love this city. I have to go there again some time.
Here the pictures:

Sorry I really want to post this pictures. But it seems I have technical difficulties. I'll post them as soon as I've figured out what is wrong.
Until then you just have to know Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai are great. I visited the highest point of Thailand. It had only 20 ° Celsius up there and the hotels were beautiful. Look forward to the pictures. They will be there soon, I hope.

Ice Age

Today the miracle happened.
We were outside. In Thailand. With Goose Bumps.
Today it was really, really cold. It had 24 °C which sounds nice and like summer, I think. But if you usually have around 35°C, it is very, very cold. Especially because yesterday it had over 30°C. Another factor might be 100% humidity of the air. It feels like a cold sauna which is not comfortable. I hope the weather changes. I want that it becomes warmer.
Never thought I would say that in Thailand. I was looking forward to cool season so much. But right now 20°C seems like ice age to me.
Sorry this post really is only about temperature.
P.S.: Oh and HOLIDAY .... FINALLY :D

Good Day

Hello Mum, Dad and whoever else is interested.
Today I am writing because I had a good day and I just felt like it.
Today is Thursday which is always a nice day because school ends for me at 12.00 o'clock.
Today Ele and me decided to study at Central Pin Klao (a mall).
Here I have to tell a little story:
NEVER in Bangkok tell anyone "I go to the mall Central Pin Klao." And here is the reason: every one will automatically hear "I go to the Mall Pin Klao." Wich is completely different and makes no sense since there is no such thing as a "Mall Pin Klao". In Thailand there are some malls called "The Mall ..." followed by the name of the area, i. e. the "Mall Bangkhae". Therefore no one in whole Bangkok knows that "mall" just means "shopping center". As you can see this is a dilemma that caused me a lot of problems. It might seem ridiculous, but really I have to say: For me it is a BIG problem.
Okay continue what I did today. So Ele, Aino and me went to the mall - sorry Central Pin Klao - and first went around to buy some things for the EP camp. I finally own a swimming suit. XL but still tight and almost impossible to get into. My body is not made for Thai clothes.
After this Aino went to her gym and Ele and me started to study math. Logic. This is not what I think about math. It is the name of our topic. I am so proud because I understood the truthtable and I learned on my own. I hope we have that topic in Germany because I put a lot of effort into understanding Logic. This topic is by the way very confusing because sometimes you have a sentence like:
If you like music, you will go to the concert.
If you go to the concert, you will buy a t-shirt.
You don't buy a t-shirt.
Therefore you don't like music.

This seems very logic to me...
BUT according to the following Truth Table it is wrong
Well I might have made a mistake because we have p, q and r.
As soon as r gets involved I am still a little helpless.
We will see.
p q r P → q Q → r P → q ^ q → r not r not p not r → not p P → q^q → r^not r → not p

Time is running

That is really what is happening now. Time passes far too fast. Today Ele and me talked about what will happen in the next weeks and really...
This week I have to study for some tests. The weekend I have to go shopoping for EP camp and on Sunday I would like to do something with my family.
Next week I have to study for the exam. That will also take in some of the weekend.
Then it is exam week. Monday Wednesday and Friday I have to write a lot of exams. On Saturday we go out with Noon to Siam Paragon.
Sunday is for relaxing and packing because on Monday EP camp starts.
After the camp I have holiday until 21st October. So September and October will be very short. Then it is only November and a little of December and BAM Christmas. In between I have some AFS activities.
Apropos AFS camp: From Wednesday to Saturday I had my first AFS camp. I loved it. Not because of the activities. Of course some were very cool I carved a "rose" - almost impossible to identify - cooked Som Tam - my favorite food - did some Thai dancing and Muay Thai. But why I loved it was meeting my friends, speaking German and talking to other AFS students from this area. The camp was over far too quickly.
Now things are a little boring. Here is nothing much to do. Homework but nothing too serious. I completely forgot to take pictures during camp. But I will take my camera to EP camp which is near the sea. The province is called Rayong.
I think this is everything for today.
Sorry that I didn't post anything on the weekend but I was barely at home. I did some school project. We made a video. And I am singing in this video. Of course I will post it as soon as they cut the video.
Missing you but too busy with everyday life to cry or be really sad Hannah
P.S.: Papa can you send me the video of Daira and Lilly you showed me. I need it. Today I started crying because I thought about it. (Don't worry emotional break downs are kind of normal here. ;)  ) See you in 8 months - or skype

Back Again

Hello there,
I know I haven't written anything in quite a while and now I am starting to regret it. Today Ele, Aino and me started a diet. Nothing too serious. I am not planning on starving here ;) . Wednesday the AFS camp starts and I am really happy to talk German again. I never noticed how great our language actually is. I don't know what to think of my advisor, because 1st: she doesn't tell us anything about the AFS camp. 2nd: She doesn't know that the destination changed. There are some more things but this is the world wide web. I'll leave it at this.
I can say that now I definitely have an everyday life. And that's also what this post will be about. So following is kind of like a schedule:
Monday:
- getting up at 06.00-06.30 (In fact it's almost always 06.30)
- breakfast
- School is rather boring on Monday. I have math with Teacher Molly which is nice. But after I have 2 periods Computer and I know nothing about Computer. However my advisor said, we should still go and learn something without taking the exam. Well, how can you learn English without the alphabet???
- Music: We don't really do anything but next week I have a presentation with some of my classmates.
- Lunch: O glorious Lunch. Everyday before noon this is what Ele and me are waiting for.
- After lunch we have English and Maths and Buddism and Aerobic. It is relatively relaxed.
And after school we meet in floor seven and stay in the gym for one hour together with Molly (the English teacher).
So tomorrow I will post about ... well what I do tomorrow.
Until now I only know that I will play badminton after school and practice "Bad Day" with Ele on the piano. Oh and maybe I get the math test back - the one in the difficult math, the one I 100% failed). Soon (maybe today I will upload some pictures...
I miss you all but I enjoy myself very well. Hope you feel the same <3

Too late

Sorry, this post is a little late.
Over the weekend we visited the Durien garden of my family and stayed there for the night. the area is nice - Chantaburi, only the weather was a bit wet.
Thursday, Cake, her friends and me met in front of school and then went to Grand Palace (Pictures on fb). After we went into a mall and did some karaoke. It is pretty fun to sing songs that are completely in Thai and all you do is try to sing the text at least a little bit correct. It was very funny.
After I we went outside and on the stairs two guys came our way and they were talking German. So I said: "Hey, Deutsche!" Holding my hand up for a clap. The guy was totally confused. "Hallo!?" Then he saw my hand clapped and I went down the stairs to my friends. I think this guy had a weird day :) .
Last week were midterm exams. That means only three days of school. Two on which you write all the exams and Friday when we visited the temple and brought the candle we made last Friday. I only took three exams. Maths: failed but only 3 points and I'd have passed. so next time I'll study a bit more and everything is fine. English Reading and Comparing: I have 17 or 18 out of 20 points. So that is really good. And last English Literature: I don't know how many points. I only did the second part because I didn't know there would be a first part. So I failed definitely, but I had only been here for a week. So no one really cares.
This weekend there's is nothing much gonna happen. I think. I never know. See you all soon I hope - on skype or something. :)
